December Beauty Essentials

Tuesday, 24 November 2015

There are Autumn/Winter essentials and there are December essentials. Those two are very, very different things. Even though I won't be going to any special party this month (I prefer the blankets and the good films), I do love to make myself look all christmassy. That means: sparkly makeup, glittery nails and a red lip!

Red lipstick

Clinique Pop in Berry Pop
I love the Clinique Pop collection! The range is so wide, there are basically enough colours to pick from for every time of the year. The colour berry pop is the perfect dark red for me. It reminds me a lot of Rimmel By Kate in 107, but this one is a lot more moisturizing. At the moment I can't wear the 107 because my lips are just too dry. The Clinique Pop lipsticks actually feel nice and soft on my lips, but have a great staying power as well.

Bourjois Rouge Edition 12H in 34, Cherry my cherie
This beautiful red colour just screams Christmas to me. The formula of this Bourjois lipstick is also very nice and moisturizing.

September Favourites

Sunday, 4 October 2015

Hey everyone!

Can you believe it's October already? I can't believe how quickly time goes. September was a very busy month for me. After three months of summer holidays it was quite difficult for me to get back into the whole studying routine. I still don't feel like I'm on top of things, but I'm trying not to freak out about it and just enjoy my favourite months of the year :).

I bought quite a lot of new beauty products this month, but there are also a lot of old favourites I've already talked about a million times. Hope you enjoy!

Autumn Beauty Essentials

Friday, 18 September 2015

Changes in the weather ask for changes in your beauty products. When autumn begins I love to change up my makeup looks. I tend to go for a darker lip, a bronze eye and warmer toned blushes in the autumn/winter months.

These products are my absolute autumn essentials.

Apple & Flower Picking

Wednesday, 16 September 2015

I've been working at a tea room at a social care farm (a farm where people with disabilities work) for over four years now. I know it's a beautiful place where you can do lots of different things, like apple picking in autumn, strawberry picking in summer, flower picking and just walking around and enjoying the beautiful Dutch nature. But, because I'm always working at the tea room when I'm there, I never actually get to do these things. So last week I decided it was about time that I would take my camera and go to this beautiful place as a visitor, not as an employee. I asked my little nephew to come with me and on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon we finally went.

Favourites of Summer 2015

Monday, 14 September 2015

Hey everyone!

I'm back after quite a long time of absence. The start of uni kind of kicked in. I always get a bit overwelmed by everything I need to do and it always makes me feel very stressed. But now that everything has gone back to normal it's time to start blogging again!

Because we're almost at the second half of September (can you believe it?) I guess we can say summer is officially over. Not that I'm sad about it, because I am super excited for autumn and winter. September-December is without any doubt my favourite time of the year. Prepare for lots of blogposts with autumn in the title!

But for now, here's my last summer-related blogposts. Since I haven't done any monthly favourites over the past few months, I thought I would show you my summer favourites. These are my absolute favourite products and random things from the beginning of June until the end of August.

Long Car Journey Essentials

Thursday, 23 July 2015

Hey everyone,

I've seen many articles and videos about in-haul flight essentials, but I know not everyone goes on holiday by plane. I'm actually going to the French alps with my parents and my brothers tomorrow by car, which is about a 1000 km drive. Our back seat is not particularly spacious, so I can only keep a minimum number of things with me during the ride. These are my essentials - the things I need to have with me on the road.

Inside My Holiday Makeup Bag

Wednesday, 22 July 2015

Hey everyone!

I'm almost going on holiday to France and I absolutely can't wait! Since I find it really interesting to read people's posts and watch people's videos about what is in their travel makeup bags, I decided I would show you as well.
Some of you might think I take a lot with me, which essentially is true. If I would go away for only a few days I wouldn't take 25% of the amount I'm taking now. But I'm going away for two weeks and I just love to try out new things when I'm on holiday.

Recent Beauty Purchases

Saturday, 18 July 2015

Over the last couple of weeks I've been buying quite a few beauty products. I've been trying them all out for a while now so I thought it was time to show you what I've got and what I think of them!

H&M Brushes Reviewed

Friday, 17 July 2015

Hey everyone,

A couple of months ago I bought a couple of H&M brushes with the idea of reviewing them for my blog, but I completely forgot about it until just now. So, it might be a bit late, but here it is!

My first attempt at film photography

Friday, 15 May 2015

As I've mentioned before, my granddad recently gave me his old analogue camera. I couldn't wait to take my first photos with it, so when my family and I went to Belgium at the beginning of May, I decided to experiment a lot. I developed the first 36 photos, and they didn't turn out all that bad! I edited them a little bit, just to make them a little bit brighter and give them some contrasts. Here are some of the photos I took!

A Wooden Watch

Wednesday, 13 May 2015

I love watches. My granddad is a clockmaker and my dad and my brothers also have a growing collection of watches, so it's probably in my DNA. So when I received an email from a brand called JORD a couple of weeks ago, my heart started to beat a little faster.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo Review

Sunday, 8 March 2015

Hey everyone!

Meet my newest obsession: the Maybelline Color Tattoos. I was thinking about buying one for quite a long time, but I always found them a bit too pricey. When I saw there they had a 1+1 free deal for Maybelline products at our local drugstore, I immidiately went there to buy two of them. I didn't have to think a second about what colours I wanted to have, because I spotted Pink Gold and On and on Bronze, which I both absolutely loved. Within a minute I had left the store again.
After a bit of experimenting with the Color Tattoos, I went back later that week to buy a white (Infinite White) one as well, just to use as an eyeshadow base.
Read my experiences with this eyeshadows here!

The Best Part of Working Out... (Workout Clothes Haul)

Wednesday, 18 February 2015

... is to buy new workout clothes, right?!  I've signed up for a 12km run in May and am trying to run 3 times a week. Therefore I needed some more workout clothes!
Because I didn't want to spend hundreds of euros (let's be honest, we'll have to wait and see if I'm gonna keep doing this), I went to They have a really good sports selection and I bought quite a few bits from there. Some of the clothes are even from the sale, how great is that? I can't wait to go for a run in this functional but fashionable workoutfits!

December Favourites

Saturday, 3 January 2015

And that was the end of december. And the end of 2014. I really can't believe how quickly time goes. But a new month means a new monthly favourites post! There's a lot of red in this one, but what else would you expect around Christmas?
